Jefferson Parish man alleged to owe more than $1,700 on Capital One account

GRETNA – Capital One Bank is seeking damages against a Jefferson Parish customer for an allegedly open account.

Capital One Bank filed a suit against John C. Dupuy in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 11.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant which was then used to accumulate more than $1,700 in charges. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance on the card.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,739.77 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch and Randall C. Roth of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
