NEW ORLEANS – A seaman alleges he was injured on the job and is currently unable to work.

John D. Hudson filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Gulf Logistics Operating Inc. alleging that the employer failed to provide a reasonably safe place to work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 20, he was employed by defendant aboard the vessel Ms. Jolie when he experienced an accident that resulted in injuries. The plaintiff holds Gulf Logistics Operating Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly train and supervise its employees, and failed to provide adequate equipment and manpower for the job.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment for all damages, adequate maintenance and cure benefits, costs for the action and for all other equitable relief. He is represented by Timothy J. Young, Tammy D. Harris, Megan C. Misko and Daniel J. Poolson Jr. of The Young Firm in New Orleans.
