Couple claims that the wife fell due to damaged parking lot

NEW ORLEANS – A couple is seeking damages, claiming that the wife fell due to a portion of damaged pavement.

Amy D'Alfonso and Brian Joseph D'Alfonso filed a suit against Denis E. Ruffin, Ye Olde Memories LLC, doing business as Mid City Restaurant & Lanes, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 26.

According to the claim, Amy D'Alfonso was at 3016 S. Carrolton Ave. on March 3 when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall when she was placing items in her car and stepped backward into a hole in the parking lot.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiffs are represented by Denis W. Barry Jr. and James Maher III in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
