NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she fell because of motor oil in a bank parking lot.
Lois Dugay filed a suit against J.P. Morgan Chase National Corporate Services Inc. and National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 19.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was on the property of J.P. Morgan Chase at 1425 N. Broad St. on Oct. 21, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall in the parking lot because of a spot that was covered in motor oil, resulting in injuries.
J.P. Morgan Chase National Corporate Services Inc. is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Kelly S. Love, Pius A. Obioha and LaMarre T. Elder of the Law Offices of Pius A. Obioha and Associates LC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
