Woman alleges she was injured in fall at Louis Armstrong International Airport

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she was caused to slip and fall in an airport.

Yakira Zachariah filed a suit against city of New Orleans Aviation Board; Delaware North Cos. Travel Hospitality Services Inc.; Chase Catering and Concessions LLC; Armstrong Airport Concessions; McCormick and Co. Inc., doing business as Zatarain's; and Metro Services Group Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 28.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the Louis Armstrong International Airport on Nov. 22, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a slippery surface while walking in front of Zatarain's Restaurant in the airport to retrieve her luggage.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Jack P. Ruli Jr., Thomas A. Gennusa, Joseph S. Piacun and Reid S. Uzee of Gennusa, Piacun & Ruli in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
