NEW ORLEANS – Two Orleans Parish individuals are alleged to owe money to a law firm.
Darleen M. Jacobs, a professional law corporation; and the Succession of Kenny Charbonnet through their administratrix, Jane Charbonnet filed a suit against Shenise Sly, Shenee Sly and Kevin Riley Esq. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 28.
According to the claim, Charbonnet, a lawyer passed away in November. The suit states that Shenise Sly contacted Charbonnet to represent her in an automobile accident and that Jacobs gave advances on the claims to Shenise Sly and Shenee Sly. The Slys allegedly later signed a contract with Riley. The plaintiffs allege they have not been paid.
The defendants are accused of outstanding charges to the plaintiff.
The plaintiffs are seeking more than $4,000 in damages. The plaintiffs are represented by Jacobs, Al Sarrot and Rene Lovelance of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
