Community college alleges it is owed more than $2,000 from Jefferson Parish resident

GRETNA – A community college is seeking damages for an allegedly open account from a Jefferson Parish woman.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College system through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Danielle M. Hurst in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 4.

According to the claim, the plaintiff allowed the defendant to attend the institution for the fall 2014 semester. The suit states, however, that the defendant failed to make payments on the account that she had.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $2,865 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
