NEW ORLEANS – A public accounting office and its landlord allege a telephone pole damaged the property.
Roger and Associates LLC and 3637 Canal Street LLC filed a suit against AT&T Corp., Bellsouth Telecommunications LLC, Travelers Indemnity Co. and the Phoenix Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 7.
According to the claim, a telephone pole that was installed by the defendants fell on Nov. 7, 2015, onto the plaintiffs' property. The suit states the pole fell because it was not properly maintained.
The defendants are accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Edward C. Vocke IV of Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
