NEW ORLEANS – A consulting and engineering company alleges it was not paid for work on a New Orleans school project.
Julien Engineering & Consulting Inc. filed a suit against Imre Hegedus in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 7.
According to the claim, Hegedus was an architect of record for construction of Lake Forest Elementary School in New Orleans and that Hegedus engaged the plaintiff for the engineering. The suit states that the plaintiff billed $495,230.48 to Hegedus, but was only paid $406,190.
The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking $89,040.48 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Taylor S. Carroll of Williams, Anderson, Ryan & Carroll in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
