NEW ORLEANS – A flight attendant alleges hazardous condition at a hotel caused her to fall.
Gail Shirey filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Wyndham Hotels and Resorts LLC, OM Capital NOLA LLC, Hotel Equities Group LLC and Hanover Insurance Group
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 27, 2015, she and three other flights attendants were checked into the Wyndham Garden Hotel. As she was walking to the elevator, she alleges she tripped/slipped and fell on the floor, causing her to sustain severe and disabling injuries that resulted in great pain, physical and mental suffering and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Wyndham Hotels and Resorts LLC, OM Capital NOLA LLC, Hotel Equities Group LLC and Hanover Insurance Group responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently allowed a dangerous and/or hazardous condition to exist on the premises and failed to maintain the property so as to render it safe for patrons.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants, in solido, for damages that are reasonable in the premises, plus interest, costs of these proceedings and for all general relief deemed proper by the court. She is represented by Jack E. Truitt, Pamela S. Chehardy Croft, Amber L. Mitchell and Peter M. Gahagan of The Truitt Law Firm in Covington.
