Mango Mango Daiquiris guest alleges employee struck him, fractured skull

NEW ORLEANS – A New York man alleges he was injured by a bar's employee.

Austin McCann filed a suit against Nautilus Insurance Co., Bourbon Saloon Inc. and Absinthe Bar LLC, both doing business as Mango Mango Daiquiris; and Jahmaal Coston in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Dec. 7.

According to the claim, the plaintiff entered the defendant's property with friends on March 11, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was verbally and physically confronted by the defendant's employee, Coston, who hit him and continued to attack the plaintiff as he fell to the ground. He alleges he sustained multiple fractures to his skull.

The defendants are accused of allegedly failing to properly monitor and train employees and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Przemek Lubecki of Morris Bart in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
