St. Bernard Parish resident claims negligent driver struck her car

GRETNA – A St. Bernard Parish woman claims that a negligent driver struck her car.

Deanna Meyer filed a suit against Arch Insurance Co., Francis Dale Etienne and Acadia Wholesale & Tobacco Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was driving her car in a safe manner on Dec. 10, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the defendant was driving a tractor leased by Acadia Wholesale & Tobacco when he backed up and struck the plaintiff's car.

The defendant is accused of negligence and reckless driving through failing to keep proper care and lookout.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Alan G. Bouterie of Bouterie Law Firm in Chalmette.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 767301.
