Firm seeks damages over debt from shoring contract

GRETNA – A company is seeking damages for an overdue promissory note relating to shoring work.

120 West Partners LLC filed a suit against Madge Stann, a resident of Jefferson Parish,in the 24th Judicial District Court on December 13.

According to the claim, the defendant entered into a shoring contract with a company. The suit states that despite the defendant issuing a promissory note, the plaintiff never received payment.

The defendant is accused of failure to fulfill a promissory note.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Blake Oakes of the Oakes Law Firm in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius Regan.
