Student loan trust alleges damages of nearly $31,000

NEW ORLEANS – A student loan trust is suing a debt holder, alleging unpaid sums of nearly $31,000.

National Collegiate Student Loan Trust 2005-1 filed a lawsuit Jan. 4 against Sarah Gautreaux-Fineran in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging failure to pay sums due.

According to the complaint, Gautreaux-Fineran is indebted to the student loan trust for $30,899.76. The suit states the plaintiff has reason to believe 215-225 Decatur LLC is in possession of credits belonging to Gautreaux-Fineran and is seeking payment of the funds due.

National Collegiate Student Loan Trust seeks sums due and all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorneys Gregory M. Eaton, J. Marron Monsour, Sean McAllister and Michale L. Lancaster of Eaton Group Attorneys LLC in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julian

Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 17-65.
