NEW ORLEANS – A St. Bernard Parish man alleges a Covington business has not returned parts to a vessel.

Ed Columb and M/V Eva Joyce LLC filed a lawsuit Jan. 9 against Russel W. Cole Sr. and Colemar Services Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging conversion.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs are the owner of a marine vessel that is docked at Paradise Marina. The suit states that the defendantsoffered to provide the plaintiffs with an estimate of repairs that the plaintiffs' vessel was requiring. In order to give the estimate, the suit states Cole removed certain engine parts but has failed to return the parts to the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs seek all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Clarence F. Favret III, James C. Cronvich and Paul L. Carriere of Favret & Lea LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
