Credit union alleges customer failed to pay off car loan of nearly $4,000

GRETNA – A credit union is suing a car loan customer, alleging she owes nearly $4,000.

The Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union filed a suit Jan. 19 against Latisha A. Knighten in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging unpaid sums.

According to the claim, Knighten purchased a 2006 Mercedes SLK280 from Premier Quality Imports LLC and signed a retail installment contract. The suit says she has failed to pay off the full amount of the vehicle and is indebted to the plaintiff for $3,887.22.

Greater New Orleans Federal Credit Union seeks the all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attonrey Blake. E. Oakes of The Oakes Law Firm LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 768300.
