New Orleans business alleges capital management firm owes $60,000

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans business is suing a capital management firm, alleging it owes more than $60,000.

The Vega Group LLC filed a lawsuit Jan. 18 against True Capital Management LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging breach of contract through failure to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and defendant entered into an agreement in which the Vega Group was to deliver management, production and consummation services to True Capital for payment. The suit states the Vega Group completed the work necessary but was never paid the full sum due. The plaintiff is still owed $60,012.86, plus interest, the lawsuit states.

The Vega Group seeks all money due, reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorneys C. Byron Berry Jr. and Edmond C. Haase III of Montgomery Barnett LLP in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
