Corporation alleges customer failed to pay for work

NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana company is suing a design business, alleging failure to pay for subcontract work the plaintiff completed.

Lucien T. Vivien & Associates Inc. filed a lawsuit Jan. 18 against Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects Regional Design Group LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Vivien & Associates entered into a subcontract with the design group for the engineering and other services on a project for Delgado Community College. The suit states that the plaintiff completed the work it was subcontracted to do and filed invoices for $32,410.15, $6,115.54 and $2,006.27.

The lawsuit says the defendant has breached contract through failing to pay the plaintiff for the work completed.

Lucien T. Vivien & Associates seeks the money due, all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorneys Larry G. Canada and John F. McCormick III of Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith APLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
