Mortgage company seeks more than $112,000 for promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A mortgage association is suing a remodeling business, alleging monetary damages for an unpaid promissory note.

Federal National Mortgage Association filed a lawsuit Jan. 24 against Christian George Dimitri, Jeannie Finch Dimitri, also known as Jeannie Finch Faciane Dimitri and CRT Remodeling LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, Federal National the plaintiff is the holder of a promissory note issued by the Dimitris. The suit states the defendants have come to owe the plaintiff the balance of $112,311.63, plus interest.

Federal National Mortgage seeks the money due, reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Jason R. Smith of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
