Kenner subcontractor claims Woodrow Wilson Construction failed to pay

NEW ORLEANS – A Kenner-based subcontractor is seeking damages for an unpaid job.

A.H. Guthans Co., Inc. filed a lawsuit Feb. 2 against Woodrow Wilson Construction LLC, Woodrow Wilson Construction Co. Inc and Western Surety Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the defendant subcontracted the plaintiff to complete a job in a timely and workmanlike manner. The suit states that the plaintiffs completed the work but the defendants failed to pay them.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract because it failed to pay the plaintiff and failed to pay promptly.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by Ethan N. Penn and Brett J. Carbo of Musgrave, McLachlan & Penn LLC In New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown.
