Elevation and shoring firm sues over promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – An elevation and shoring company is seeking funds for a job that was completed.

Southern Elevation & Shoring Inc. filed a lawsuit Feb. 8 against Eunice Petit in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging breach of contract and sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was contracted by the defendant to complete a certain set of duties. The suit states that the defendant executed a promissory note for the balance of $30,000 but has failed to pay off the note or pay the plaintiff in full.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys R. Scott Buhrer and Lauren K. Marquette of the Buhrer Law Firm in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
