Community college alleges student owes more than $3,000

GRETNA – A community college is suing a former student, alleging she owes more than $3,000.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a suit Feb. 14 against Bridget Anne Benton in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging open account.

According to the claim, Benton accumulated a balance of $3,418 when attending the plaintiff's institution and she has failed to pay off the balance owed.

The college seeks all sums due and court costs. It is represented by assistant attorney general Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge 

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 769080.
