GRETNA – A community college is suing a student, alleging he owes more than $2,000.
Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a suit Feb. 14 against Justin L. Burns in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging an open account.
According to the claim, Burns attended Delgado Community College for the fall 2012 semester. The suit states he has failed to pay off the balance accumulated of $2,402.40, plus interest.
The college seeks all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by assistant attorney general Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
