GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is suing owners of a Harvey apartment complex, alleging their negligence caused her daughter to fracture her foot.

Tracey Bleier filed a lawsuit Feb. 17 against Lapalco Court Apartments Partnerts Ltd. and Ledic Realty Company LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, Bleier was a resident of the Lapalco Court Apartments along with her minor daughter, at 2300 Lapalco Blvd., Harvey. The suit states in January 2016, a U-Haul truck was driven into the play area of complex, leaving deep ruts.

The lawsuit states nothing was done to remedy the damage to the playground and on Feb. 21, 2016, while the plaintiff's daughter was playing in the playground, she caught her foot in the rut and fractured it.

The defendant is accused negligently failing to take the proper measure of care, reckless driving of the U-Haul truck, failing to remedy the damages to the play area and overall negligence in the management of the situation.

Bleier seeks damages, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorney Alan Kansas of The Law Offices Of Alan Kansas LLC in Terrytown.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
