Driver files suit over alleged injuries after collision in Lafourche Parish

NEW ORLEANS – A Lafourche Parish woman alleges she was injured in an accident on Canal Boulevard in the parish.

Loretta Winston filed a complaint on March 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Wesco Insurance Co., Beacon Transport LLC and Robert Turner alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 28, 2016, she sustained severe injuries due to an auto accident caused solely by the negligence of defendants Beacon and Turner. She alleges she has suffered physical and mental injuries as well as property damage and inconvenience. The plaintiff holds Wesco Insurance Co., Beacon Transport LLC and Robert Turner responsible because defendant Turner allegedly failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle and failed to yield right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment herein against defendants, jointly, severally and in solido, for the full amount of her damages, plus costs, together with legal interest and all general and equitable relief.
