Overdue promissory note prompts bank to sue

GRETNA – A New Orleans bank is seeking damages for an unpaid promissory note.

First Bank and Trust filed a suit March 10 against 1100 Clearview LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $185,385.77. The defendant has allegedly failed to pay off the note in full and still owes $184,170.48 plus interest and fees, making a grand total of $187,283.05.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Patrick Reso of Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Murray, Recile, Stakelum & Hayes LLP in Hammond.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn Ansardi.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 769838.
