Wells Fargo Bank sues to recover mortgage debt

GRETNA – Wells Fargo Bank is seeking damages for an unpaid promissory note stemming from a mortgage contract.

Wells Fargo Bank N.A. filed a suit March 13 against Michael Burris in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $85,424. The suit states that the defendant was required to pay off the balance of the note with monthly payments but has failed to do so. The plaintiff is still owed the amount of $75,857.81 plus interest and fees.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Corey Giroir of The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock Jr., in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry Sullivan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 769889.
