Bank of America files suit over promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – Bank of America is seeking damages for sums due.

Bank of America N.A. filed a lawsuit March 16 against Westwego residents Robert Brady and Dorothy Dabney Brady in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an overdue mortgage debt.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $27,930. The suit states that the defendants failed to pay off the installments of the note and are still indebted to the plaintiff for $16,722.10 plus interest and late fees.

The defendants are accused of failing to pay off the note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Daniel Reed of Seale, Smith, Zuber & Barnette LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John Molaison Jr.
