Eagle Rebar & Cable Co. Inc. alleges it is owed more than $170,000 for construction work

NEW ORLEANS – A Mississippi subcontractor alleges it was not paid for work on a New Orleans project.

Eagle Rebar & Cable Co. Inc. filed a complaint on March 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Baker Concrete Construction Inc. and John Doe alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it was contracted by the defendant for construction work and that it was not fully paid. The principal amount of $173,585.18 allegedly remains due and owing. The plaintiff holds Baker Concrete Construction Inc. and John Doe responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make payment to the said amounts owed to plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks actual and compensatory damages, interest, attorney’s fees and costs and all other equitable relief. It is represented by Alfred Zach Butterworth of Hesse & Butterworth LLC in Bay St. Louis, Missouri.
