Delgado Community College seeks unpaid tuition from former student

GRETNA — A community college claims that a student owes for classes she attended.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit March 28 against Raquel Macabitas in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued goods and/or services to the defendant for the Spring 2013, accumulating a balance owing of $688. The defendant has failed to pay off the balance.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
