University of Louisiana System alleges student failed to pay for attending in spring 2014

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking over $3,000 for unpaid sums from an Orleans Parish resident.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit March 20 against Whitney Meadows in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the defendant accumulated a balance of $3,397.75 plus interest from attending during the spring 2014 semester and failing to pay the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meaghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
