University of New Orleans seeks damages for unpaid promissory note

GRETNA – A university is seeking damages for an unpaid promissory note.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a suit April 3 against Michael Lawrence Mantese in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking payment of a promissory note executed by the defendant. The suit states that the defendant is indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $1,151.74 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay off the promissory note.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
