University of New Orleans seeking damages from Jefferson Parish resident for unpaid promissory note

GRETNA – A university is seeking damages for sums due.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a suit April 6 against Tina M. Henderson of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due on a promissory note.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages, claiming that the defendant failed to pay on a Federal Perkins Loan Master Promissory Note. The plaintiff is seeking payment of $3,056.39 plus interest and fees.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Rokey J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 770765.
