Jefferson Parish resident claims woman hit her outside of home

NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson Parish woman claims that she was hit by another individual.

Shanicka Reaux filed a lawsuit against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. and Kristi Lewis in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging intentional tort.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at her home on Curran Road on March 26, 2016, when the defendant allegedly struck her. The plaintiff is seeking legal attention to the domestic violence incident.

The defendant is accused of assaulting the plaintiff and failing to act in a proper manner.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Lawrence J. Galle Jr. in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
