GRETNA – A woman is seeking damages for a car crash involving a U-Haul vehicle.
Kiona L. Danastasio filed a suit April 12 against Dashaun Tobias, Nancy Sarver, John Dow, U-Haul of Louisiana, REWESPT Insurance Co., GoAuto Insurance Co., State Farm Insurance Co. and XYZ Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff is a resident of Jefferson Parish. The suit states that the plaintiff was driving a car on April 12, 2016, when the plaintiff's vehicle was struck by a car that driven by Tobias, who also struck a vehicle owned by U-Haul. The plaintiff claims she suffered severe injuries.
The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to keep a lookout, failing to drive at a safe speed and overall negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Raymond A. Brown in Kenner.
The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymon S. Steib.
