University of New Orleans seeking damages for an unpaid promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for an unpaid promissory note.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit March 30 against Tiffany Xanthe Watler in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging an unpaid promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued the defendant, who is an Orleans Parish resident, a promissory note for the balance of $1,935.06. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the note and is indebted for the full sum.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay off the promissory note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Wendy Ranmarine of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
