New Orleans university claims Orleans Parish woman failed to pay promissory note

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for sums due on a promissory note.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit April 12 against Madilynn R. Vega of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging suit on a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of a $2,000 promissory note. The plaintiff has not received payment from the defendant.

The defendant is accused failing to pay on a promissory note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Wendy Ramnarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
