LAFAYETTE – An equipment rental company alleges a Lafayette corporation failed to pay for services provided.
Axip Energy Services LP filed a complaint on April 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Lafayette Division against PetroVentures Inc. alleging breach of contract and open account.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it provided equipment rental and related maintenance and repair work to defendant for use in connection with defendant's operations at its offshore mineral lease for a monthly fee of $32,000. As of the filing of this complaint, defendant allegedly owes plaintiff $939,520.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages of $939,520, costs, expenses and prejudgment interest and all other relief to which plaintiff may be entitled. It is represented by Carroll Devillier Jr. and Danielle L. Borel of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson LLP in Baton Rouge.
