Orleans Parish man claims he was attacked during Mardi Gras parade

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish man claims that he was attacked by a group of men during a parade.

David Lawrence Discon filed a lawsuit April 17 against Collin Stevens, Connor Stevens, Matthew Collet and Ryan Sullivan in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging battery.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff, a resident of Orleans Parish, was at a Mardi Gras parade on Feb. 24 when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was attacked by the defendants, who beat him until he fell to the ground and continued to attack him after he had fallen.

The defendants are accused of intentional battery.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, for the physical harm suffered, including a broken jaw and other physical injuries, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorneys Thomas M. Discon, Charlotte Discon Strief of the Discon Law Firm in Mandeville.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
