State of Louisiana alleges man didn't prove proper use of funding for home

GRETNA – A man is being sued for improper use of government funds.

State of Louisiana, Division of Administration, Office of Community Development-Disaster Recovery Unit filed a suit April 24 against William Loyd Horne Jr., in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff gave the defendant $30,000 as part of an incentive program to put toward the elevation of his home. The defendant has failed provide proof that he used the money as intended.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Mary Catherine Cali of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 771301.
