GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish couple is being sued for misuse of a government incentive.
State of Louisiana, Division of Administration, Office of Community Development-Disaster Recovery Unit filed a suit April 24 against Teriet Johnson and Lloyd Johnson in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.
According to the claim, the plaintiff issued the defendants the sum of $30,000 to use towards a home elevation. The suit states that the defendants have failed to provide proof that they used the funds as intended.
The defendant is accused of sums due.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John C. Walsh of Shows, Cali & Walsh LLP in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
