Nicholls State claims Jefferson Parish student failed to pay over $5,000

GRETNA – A university is seeking damages for an open account.

University of Louisiana System Board Supervisors through Nicholls State University filed a suit April 26 against Shawn L. Fultz of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking payment of an open account for the balance of $5,357. The plaintiff claims that the defendant has failed to pay off any of the amount due after he enrolled in classes for the fall 2015 semester.

The defendant is accused of an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris of Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 771471.
