NEW ORLEANS – A university is suing a former student, alleging she owes $3,000.
The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors, through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit April 24 against Ashley Dominique Davis in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging money owed on a promissory note.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment for a promissory note that was taken out by the defendant for the balance of $3,000. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for the balance owed.
The defendant is accused of sums due.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott L. Smith Jr., of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
