Orleans Parish residents seek damages for collision on Airline Highway

NEW ORLEANS – Two Orleans Parish residents are seeking damages for an automobile collision.

Andrell Howard and Dionne Howard filed a lawsuit April 28 against ACE American Insurance Co.; Swift Transportation Co. of Arizona LLC, doing business as Swift Leasing Co. LLC; Milton Parks Jr.; and Geico County Mutual Insurance Co. (in its capacity as an uninsured/underinsured motorist carrier) in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs were driving their car on Airline Highway in New Orleans on May 14, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that Parks changed lanes improperly, causing injuries to the plaintiffs.

The defendant is accused of negligence in the operation of a motor vehicle, failing to control the car and driving too fast.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Brian King, Jason F. Giles, Anthony J. Milazzo III and James E. Courtenay of The King Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase

Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 17-4033.
