BATON ROUGE – An East Baton Rouge Parish maintenance worker alleges he was not paid overtime wages.

Scott Cheshire filed a complaint on May 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana against North American Automotive Group LLC and Michael Pierce alleging that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he estimates that he worked approximately 65 to 75 hours per week. The plaintiff holds North American Automotive Group LLC and Michael Pierce responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime wages at the rate of one-and-one-half times his regular of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment for all unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, reasonable attorney's fees, interest and for all costs of this proceeding. He is represented by Daniel B. Davis and Randall E. Estes of Estes Davis Law LLC in Baton Rouge.
