Credit Acceptance alleges Orleans Parish resident owes over $12,000

NEW ORLEANS – A credit corporation is seeking damages for sums due.

Credit Acceptance Corp. filed a lawsuit May 8 against Yadir B. Bermudez of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff issued the defendant a retail installment contract towards the purchase of a vehicle. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the sums due and is currently indebted to the plaintiff for $12,944.28.

The defendant is accused of sums due and breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Naomi A. Cohen Ivker in Birmingham, Alabama.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
