University of New Orleans claims Orleans Parish woman owes $2,000

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for an open account on a promissory note.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit May 12 against Allison Claire Spears of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of a promissory note for the balance of $2,000.

The defendant is accused of sums due on the promissory note.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Wendy Ramnarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Rachael Johnson.
