Orleans Parish woman claims she slipped and fell at a Dollar Tree

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish woman claims that she was caused to slip and fall at a Dollar Tree.

Sabrina Harris filed a lawsuit May 10 against Dollar Tree Stores Inc., Wayland Charles and ABC Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was a customer at the Dollar Tree Store at 4115 S. Carrollton Ave., New Orleans when the incident took place. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a substance that had been left on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to clean up the mess, failing to warn of the danger and overall negligence in management.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael C. Darnell of Murray, Darnell & Associates LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
