Jefferson Parish man claims he slipped on substance at Walmart store

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages for a slip and fall in a Walmart store.

Thomas Bock of Jefferson Parish filed a suit May 15 against Wal-Mart Louisiana LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages following an incident that took place May 29, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on a foreign substance.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to warn of the dangerous situation, failing to clean up the mess and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Donald S. Blum in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 772116.
