Jefferson Parish man accuses Home Depot of negligence after fall

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man slipped in a Home Depot.

Larone Russell filed a suit May 23 against Charter Oak Fire Insurance Co., Lauricella Land Co. LLC and The Home Depot U.S.A. Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at The Home Depot located at 5151 Citrus Blvd., Harahan, on Aug. 21, 2016, when the incident took place. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on water that was dripping from the ceiling.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to warn of the danger, failing to clean up the mess and overall negligence of management.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by Darryl M. Breaux and Evan A. Breaux of Darryl Breaux & Associates in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court case number 772202.
